MyStyle Homes – Interior Design Trends To Look Out For In 2021

Design is often a reflection of our needs, and the home is no exception. With the uncertainty and stress of 2020 behind us, 2021 is shaping up to be the year of calm serenity – take a look through Heather’s interior design trends that we expect to see more of this year.

Warm colours, natural textures

If you want your home to feel comfortable yet stylish, consider light browns and beiges in your colour patterns, paired with a mix of natural textures to add character. White is most definitely being left behind as more homeowners choose to warm their homes with a more tonal colour palette.

Consider your table-scape

Eating dinner at the table isn’t as set in stone as it used to be, and the need for a large dining area in the home has waned in recent years with many preferring a breakfast bar in the kitchen or a large kitchen island instead. However, being forced to work from home has led many to realise just how useful a large table can be – as a work space, for Monopoly on game night, or to host friends and family for dinner.

Unique touches

Your house is your home, and you should be able to tell! Personal, individual touches of personality are expected – whether that’s through furniture, wall art or something else. Now that we’re all spending more time at home we’re spending more time thinking about how we want our homes to reflect us and minimalist design trends are being left behind.

When you build with MyStyle Homes you get access to Heather and all of her design know-how, from the colour of the roof to the colour of the driveway. If you would like to arrange a consultation with us you can enquire here.
